  Palm candy(in Tamil-“Panakarkandu”) is produced from the sweet” Neera” from Palmyra.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Rice 1/4 cup
  • Coconut 1/2 cup
  • Palm candy 1/4 cup
  • Milk (boiled)1/4 cup
  • Ghee 1 tablespoon
  • Cardamom 1 no
  • Almond 5 no
  • Dry grapes 5 no

METHOD:

HOW TO PREPARE PALM CANDY PAYASAM?

  • Broke the rice like rava  (suji)
  • Add the broken rice in boiled water.

  • Grind the coconut like the paste 
  • Add the paste in the rice.
  • Once the rice is cooked well,add palm candy.
  • Then add boiled milk.
  • Once boiled well, off the stove.
  • Fry the almond, dry grapes, cardamom with ghee and
