A spring onion pachdi recipe/Green onion recipe is a simple, healthy and tasty side dish recipe. Spring onions are an excellent source of sulfur that reduces the risk of cancer and lowers blood sugar levels. This pachdi recipe for breakfast, lunch and dinner.


  1. Spring onion 1 bunche
  2. Moong dal 1 cup
  3. Tomato 1 number
  4. Green chilli 2 numbers
  5. Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Mustard 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  8. Curry leaves 1 string
  9. Black gram 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Asafoetida 1 pinch
  11. Tamarind (small lemon size)
  12. Oil and salt as need

How to prepare spring onion recipe?

Clean and wash the moong dal and transfer the cooker and boil for one whistle.

Wash and finely chopped green onions and cut the tomatoes , green chili.

Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard, cumin seeds, black gram and cuurry leaves. Then add green chili, and tomato.

Once tomato cooked well add chopped spring onion and saute.

Then add boiled moong dal , tamarind juice and salt boil for 2 minutes ,add asafoetida.

Tasty pachdi is ready. This pachdi is side dish for rice, idly, dosa, chapadi.
