Rice Ball Recipe
The Rice ball recipe is a healthy snack recipe and it is south Indian recipe. Neerurunadai in Tamil. Neerurndai is made by grinding rice by soaking it. These balls goes well as excellent breakfast ,snacks, or dinner. This recipe is very healthy, because it is boiled in steam.
How to make
Ingredients
- Idly rice – 1 1/2 cup
- Grated coconut -1/2 cup
- Curry leaves – 1 string
- Onion – 1 small (chopped)
- Ginger 1 inch (chopped)
- Green chili – (1 chopped)
- Mustard seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Black gram dal – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – ta taste.
- oil -1/2 tablespoon.
Methods step by step
Step 1

- Soak Idli rice for 3 hours
Step 2

- Grind batter to a just we like grind idli ,dosa. Then add salt and coconut mix well.
Step 3

- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, black gram let it splutter them, add onion, green chili and ginger .
Step 4

- once the onion is cooked well. Pour this batter. Keep on stirring, till the batter turns to dough consistency.
Step 5

- The consistency will be like, The dough is not much sticky.
Step 6

- Make small sized ball
- Another large vessel add boil water and this ball and cook.
